If you’re anything like me, then when you hear about a new product, you hope that someone else has tried it so you can hear what they think before you drop any hard-earned dollars on it. I mean, if three dozen people have tried it and they all say it doesn’t work, why waste money?
So when SC Johnson came out with their Nature’s Source line of cleaning products, I was excited to be able to try them for free as a BzzAgent. And you, my readers, get to benefit from my experience in your decision of whether or not to give them a try.
First of all, what are they? Nature’s Source is a line of “natural” versions of some of SC Johnson’s “classic” cleansers – Windex, all-purpose cleaner, toilet bowl cleaner, and (the one I was most excited to try) Scrubbing Bubbles. As one might expect of products manufactured by SC Johnson, they all seem to work well. (The Scrubbing Bubbles was not as easy to use as its classic counterpart, though, because it’s a manual spray bottle, not an aerosol.) I do have one big “beef” with them, though – they are all scented, and the fragrances are the single non-natural component in these cleansers. Now, for some people, that will be just perfect, or at least no big deal. For me, it largely defeats the purpose of buying natural cleaning products. Personally, I don’t even think they smell good, as synthetic fragrances tend to smell just that way – synthetic.
Conclusion? For me, they are not an improvement over the Clean Team products I’m already using, at least as far as the all-purpose and glass cleaners go. But they are readily available in mainstream brick-and-mortar stores, which may make them a terrific accessible option for many consumers.
