We recently learned that a very dear friend of ours — Michael’s mentor for a long while — has been diagnosed with mesothelioma.  If, like me, you live under a rock and don’t know what that is, exactly, it’s a cancer that’s typically caused by asbestos exposure.  This friend probably developed the cancer as a result of his years of work at the shipyard.  God knows what He’s doing, and we trust that His plan for us is good, but it sure does sadden us to hear this news, and we pray that our friend will be healed (this side of Heaven!).
