Thank you, Pür, for providing us with gum to facilitate this review.

My kids love to chew gum. The problem is, the gum you can usually buy in the store is full of weird chemicals. Usually, it’s flaunted as “sugar-free” – but “sugar-free” is just code for “chemical sweetener.” In almost every case, the gum contains aspartame. Not only is this really unhealthy, it tastes terrible!
In the past few years, we’ve learned that xylitol, a natural sugar alchohol, has a unique advantage. In addition to sweetening things, it actually helps teeth. So gum companies have started putting xylitol in their gum. But they’ve added it to the aspartame, rather than using it to replace the aspartame.
Except Pür. Pür has “kicked aspartame” right out of the picture. Xylitol is the only thing it’s sweetened with, so I feel much better about my kids chewing it!
It comes in four flavors: peppermint, spearmint, wintergreen (my favorite!) and pomegranate-mint.
As an added perk, it comes in the right kind of packaging to decorate with these snowmen. I saw this done on Pinterest, and wanted to do these for my kids’ stockings, but I was hesitant because I didn’t want to be giving them that nasty stuff. Finding out about this was perfect!
(I’ve cut up one package for all of them, because healthy gum is still gum. I don’t need them sticking it all over the house!)
You can find Pür near you to put in your own household stockings.
(By the way, in case you were wondering, the eyes and mouth were drawn on with Sharpie. The nose is a sliver of a label that was colored orange with marker.)
