I read a great blog post a few days ago over at Creative 2x Mom, about the blessing of extended family.  She reminds us that building and maintaining relationships takes work, but it’s worth it!

Have you ever been to a funeral, and thought how good it is to see family you never see at any other time – and then realized how sad it is that you never see them at any other time?!  Sometimes it takes circumstances like death or impending death to remind us how important family is.
