My sister and I were talking yesterday about Amazon.com, and how handy it is that we can order gifts for family members, and have them shipped directly to the recipients with gift wrap and everything. Amazon is a great “nutshell” example, as it seems that they carry practically everything, but the internet as a whole has been a great boon for gift-giving. We can search for anything the recipient is interested in, from ballet shoes to cattle supplies to stationery, even if it isn’t available locally, and almost instantly find someone who sells it and will ship it anywhere in the country. What did we do before the internet? lol
