I will be “signing off” for the weekend soon, as we have a very busy weekend planned, with friends and family.  Please pray for us and our car as we do a lot of driving around in fairly yucky weather.  Our defroster doesn’t work, and we have a car with a windshield that fogs easily.

(This is the potential downside when a merchant services your car ” long distance.”  Our power steering went out a couple of summers ago, while we were visiting my mother-in-law.  The power steering is on one of those belts that runs several other things, as well, including the air compressor, so they recharged the a/c while they had that all apart.  The air conditioner hasn’t worked right since.  We’ve even taken it back once.  The sad part is, we really believe that the mechanic who fixed it is honest and stands by his work.  But at the time we lived five hours away and you just can’t keep taking a car back from that distance so the shop can make it right!)

We are looking forward to a fun weekend, with some friends we haven’t seen in a while, a semifinal football game for Michael’s alma mater, and some Christmas celebration with family (yes, it’s early, but it’s easier for everyone’s schedules).  Our only real concern is the cold, wet weather.
