Here’s what I’ve been reading in August. (There aren’t as many this time ’round, because we had a lot going on. My girls were in a kids’ craft swap, we started back to school, our church was doing some special “big” evangelistic events, etc.) So not much time for reading.
Finished:
- The Measure of the Magic
- The Church History ABC’s (with the girls)
- Leonardo da Vinci* (with the girls)
- John Calvin (with the girls)
Working On:
- A Case for Amillennialism
- Who Am I?
- What’s It Like to Be Married to Me?
- Thunderstorm in Church (with the girls)
*Although there was a good deal of value, in my opinion, in this book for the elementary grades, there are a few sections of significant “junk.” I would very highly recommend reading it to your children so you can edit as you go, rather than handing it over to them.
I started reading the Help. Next is What’s Wrong With the World by G. K. Chesterton.
The Help sounds good! I’ve never heard of the other one, but I like G. K. Chesterton. 🙂 I’ll have to check those out; thanks!
