World Vision Gift Catalog

The World Vision Gift Catalog is a wonderful choice during the holidays, when you want to give to friends and family and to strangers.  They have a whole gift catalog full of things you can supply for third-world countries in loved ones’ names (like goats, wells, education, etc.), but my favorites at this time of year are the “gift-with-donation” selections.

We typically like to have something to wrap for the recipient to open and enjoy, but it’s nice when that tangible gift can also be symbolic of the less-tangible gift of helping meet someone’s needs.  The Thai necklace and bracelet above (also available separately, or in black) are lovely choices for a woman on your list.

Is there a child on your list?  The Hearts 4 Hearts Rahel doll is beautiful!

If there’s a man on your list, maybe he could use a travel mug for his commute.

Of course, these are just examples.  There are other options, as well.  This year, consider a gift that will give twice. 🙂
