One Word for the Year
Many of you are probably familiar by now with the concept of “one word” for the year — a single word that serves as a “theme” or “focus” for the year. My word this year was “abide,” shorthand for John 15:4-5:
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
I already have my word picked out for next year, too, thanks to this video from The Bible Project:
My Tip
So here’s my tip: have your word of the year printed on a magnet as an easy way to keep it in front of you all year. This is an excellent use for Shutterfly freebies when they come around.
