Since cutting gluten from my diet, I’ve found it difficult to come up with lunch and snack options. It seems that nearly everything needs some sort of bread at least as a “carrier” for the primary food, and most gluten-free breads just aren’t that great. (Think of eating a sponge, and you will have the basic idea of gluten-free bread texture.) It’s also very difficult to find gluten-free products that are whole-grain. This is a really big deal to me, since I ate almost all whole grains before! Switching to all-white gluten-free products seemed like a “one step forward, two steps back” kind of thing.
Sooo…when I found Crunchmaster Multi-Grain crackers, I was thrilled! They’re whole-grain (or at least mostly so), they’re gluten-free, and they’re edible! More than that, they’re actually good.
I have to admit that I’m not a huge fan of the White Cheddar variety. These are coated with that typical white cheddar powder, and I personally just don’t care for it. I really liked the other varieties, though. The “Sea Salt” one is pretty basic, and it has been a wonderfully useful staple for me. These are great for topping with slices of cheese. (Which is something a lot of crackers couldn’t hold up to.) The Roasted Vegetable flavor reminds me of pizza; it seems to be roasted tomatoes and garlic, or some similar combination. These are pretty strong, and I don’t think I could eat more than one or two at a time, plain. However, they would make great appetizers, topped with, for instance, mozzarella cheese.
One of you will win a case (12 bags) of these multi-grain crackers. Enter via the Rafflecopter widget.
