Coming up in April is a challenge for bloggers, the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. I wanted to take a few minutes and give you a heads-up of what to expect.
I’m actually planning to do two iterations of this challenge, because the challenge that most intrigued me didn’t lend itself well to being the primary focus here (and because, apparently, I’m crazy).
Growth
The primary challenge will follow the theme of “growth” — that is, growing in different areas of life. (Incidentally, “grow” was my “one word” for last year. It has a lot of really intriguing synonyms. If one word for the year is something you do, it’s a good one to consider!) This is going to allow us to touch on a wide variety of the sub-topics found here at Titus 2 Homemaker, and provide a place/opportunity to round up a lot of my favorite tips, posts, and resources.
Thrive Life
Thrive Life is going to be a secondary theme. If you happened to catch the one post I wrote before about Thrive Life, you know this is a direct sales company I’m signed up with as a consultant. When I started brainstorming about the challenge, this was the first theme that popped into my head — because it’s a fun challenge for me, to expand my repertoire, etc. But even though it’s totally not my intent, I didn’t want to make that the focus for April because that seems pretty “salesy.”
So here’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to put up the regular post for each day, and I’m also going to write a Thrive Life post each day. Because then I can have the fun of challenging myself — and I might as well not let posts, once written, go to waste! But with only one or two exceptions, I’ll exclude these from the feed after the first day’s introduction. That way they’ll be here and you can read them if you want to, but if you’re subscribed they won’t be pouring into your inbox or feed reader and overwhelming you. If you’re not interested, feel free to just think, “how nice she’s having fun with this writing challenge” and ignore them altogether.

Growth is a fab word of the year and a fab theme. My word for this year is “strive” and now I’m thinking it should have been my theme too
