Tommy Nelson provided our copy of Every Day a Blessing, to facilitate this review, and they are sponsoring this giveaway. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Every Day a Blessing: A Year of God’s Love is a sweet devotional book. It’s geared toward young children, but I think some of us moms could benefit from it!
Each day consists of a very brief devotional – just one small page long. They’re clearly marked with the days of the week (“my blessing for Tuesday,” for instance). This is followed by a title, a verse, a quick story/illustration, and an application.
The devotions all focus on ways that God blesses us: giving us rest, Himself, various character qualities, etc. or ways that we can be a blessing to others: befriending them, using our skills on their behalf, etc.
I like the way this focuses us on the positive. It’s not deep theology, so it’s kept “light.” (There are one or two that are a bit more theological, and I came across at least one that I’m not 100% in agreement with, from a Reformed perspective. It’s a pretty small proportion of a year’s devotions, so it’s not a big deal; we’ll just talk about it. But be aware, if that’s your doctrinal leaning, too.)
The hardcover book even has a ribbon bookmark built in so your young one can keep his place.

My son is still really young so we haven’t worked with on him on focusing on his blessings, but we are starting to read the Bible every morning with him (even if I’m unsure if he listening since he’s fidgeting so much haha)! Thanks for the giveaway Rachel! 🙂
