Happy S’mores Day!
Practically everyone loves S’mores. In honor of the day, I’ve rounded up a long list of chocolatey, marshmallowy goodness. There are plenty of S’mores-inspired desserts here. If you just want to build your own S’more, or create your own S’more-inspired dessert, you’ll also find some fabulous “building blocks.”
(If you find a recipe you like, please click through and Pin the original post. Thanks!) On to the S’more recipes…
Tips, Tricks, & Basic S’mores
Are you looking for a quick and easy way to make Indoor S’mores? I’ve been using this method for years and it works great!
If you want something with a little more realism, try this nifty setup from Aprés Fête.* It gives you mini indoor campfires.
Gluten-free? Well, then you’ll obviously need a graham cracker alternative. If you just want to buy something, so it’s easy, Smoreables work pretty well (although they’re a little small). Or check out some of the great gluten-free (in some cases, grain-free) recipes later in this post. (There are some other allergy-friendly recipes, too, like corn-free marshmallows.)

*It has been brought to my attention that a commenter on the original post mentioned a warning from the Consumer Product Safety Commission against burning charcoal indoors due to carbon monoxide. I’m not sure if this is a significant concern — as in, carbon monoxide is likely to build up, like running a car in a closed garage — or a fairly rare occurrence — like carbon monoxide buildup from a wood-burning stove or an issue only over an extended period of time. (The CPSC is not particularly known for rational behavior.) But it certainly seems wise to at least be well aware of your ventilation and be sure there’s a carbon monoxide detector present if you choose to do this indoors. And do your own research. As a safer alternative, you might want to consider large candles.
These all look amazing! I love the idea of the chocolate chip cookie ones. A safety note on the indoor mini-campfires (linked from another site) — NEVER burn charcoal indoors. Those would be okay for a deck or patio, but burning charcoal inside is apparently extremely dangerous because of the carbon monoxide released.
The marshmallow recipes look fun, too. Rebekah has made them and they are delicious!
What a super FUN round up! I love all the ideas and thank you so much for including my s’mores!
Makes you hungry just looking, doesn’t it?!
