The Sassy Grow-Up Cup is a truly innovative product. It’s kind of like a no-spill sippy cup – except the whole rim of the cup is the sippy!
There is no spout on this cup, so children learn to drink from a cup more-or-less like normal. But the screw-on lid prevents spillage. It really works, too! I turned the cup upside down and shook it and, if anything, got a drop or so to come out.
Unfortunately, the kids found it tricky to get anything out, too. My baby is a little young for the cup we have, yet. These come in three sizes, varying by height. The cups we have are the middle height, and they’re a bit tall for Livia to tip up far enough to drink from (especially given that cups are new to her). The older girls had fun with these, though, and they said they really had to suck to get anything out. Perhaps this would be easier for a baby, who is accustomed to sucking; I don’t know.
They definitely work for the no-spill aspect, and they’re definitely easier to clean than sippy cups with spouts.
Disclosure: Sassy provided me with several cups to facilitate this review. All opinions are entirely my own.
