While we’re on the topic of creativity, we’re also going to talk about unique/unusual gifts. This is a hard category to define. This is the category of gift that is unexpected in some way. It may be that the gift itself is “different” – perhaps designed to appeal to some specific niche or solve a problem that no other product addresses. Or it may just be that the design of the product makes it a fit for a particular demographic. (Like the U.S.S. Enterprise baby spoon!) Another option is a subscription to something, which will be like having a new gift all year long, rather than just a one-time thing. (These “novelty” sorts of things can be great for those people who already have everything they need – because they’re fun!)
A few out-of-the-ordinary gift ideas:
- sample boxes
- make-your-own music box
- puzzle sandwich cutter
- Happy Toy plushies
- unusual ice trays
- DNA artwork
- cell phone buddies
