
DIY Projects can be a lot of fun, but many of them are time-consuming, too. Today, let’s focus on the quick. All of the projects below should take about 15 minutes or less. (For a few projects, there might be some additional glue- or paint-drying time after you’ve finished with the hands-on parts of the project.)
There are a some awesome gift ideas in the mix!
- DIY Soap Pouch: This is a good use for pretty dollar store towels or washcloths.
- DIY Photography Boards: These photography background boards are done in the time it takes to adhere some shelf paper.
- DIY Hair Elastic Bracelets: These bracelets are made by attaching jump rings & charms to hair elastic.
- DIY Fast Peppermint Soap: This melt & pour soap is fabulous for the holidays. (And is one more use for our peppermint oil!)
- DIY — Color-Code Your Keys: So you can quickly tell them apart.
- DIY Fast Key Chain Ideas: These three quick ideas will give you something to put those newly-color-coded keys on.
- DIY Jeans Hemming: If your jeans are a little too long, you can hem them yourself with this tutorial.
- DIY Flat-Iron Case: This super-fast case is helpful for packing — and a great dollar store craft!
- DIY Framed Chalkboards: This project takes just a few minutes to apply a couple coats of paint. (You’ll need a little lead time to let it dry, though.)
- DIY Lampshade from Tights: This is one of the more creative projects I’ve seen lately, but still looks super-simple.
- DIY Lace Wreath: Another stockings project!
- DIY Quick Pillow Covers: The fancified bands I made for these took a bit of time, but the pillow covers themselves are quick and easy.
- DIY Easy Gilded Votives: These candleholders are as easy as writing!
- DIY Easy Washi Votives: Use washi tape to quickly dress up a votive holder.
- DIY Trash-Can Composter: This DIY is as quick as drilling a few holes and duct-taping pieces of screening over them.
- DIY Fabric-Covered Magnets: This project is a good use for small scraps.
- DIY “Doodlebook”: This is a mini sketchbook that makes good use of an old, ugly checkbook cover.
- DIY Decorated Desk: These quick washi-tape ideas will doll up your desk area in a hurry.
- DIY Felt Phone Sleeve: This stitches up quickly with just a couple of straight seams.
- DIY Personalized Phone Charger: Washi tape makes quick work of personalizing a phone charger. (These often go on sale. If you’re more comfortable with a brand-name charger, you can get an Energizer one pretty inexpensively, too.)
- DIY Stamped Tile Coasters: Some natural stone tiles, scratch-proof felt or cork, and rubber stamps make for unique coaster sets.
