French Toast is best known for school uniforms. Since my kids don’t even attend school away from home, much less require school uniforms, some of you may be wondering why I would talk about school uniforms. Here’s a little tip: school “uniform” pieces make great core wardrobe basics!

Khaki shorts, navy blue slacks, white polo shirts or button-ups – these all make fantastic foundations for a child’s wardrobe. They can sometimes be very difficult to find in the stores “at large.” But school uniform sources – like French Toast – always have them.

The quality of these French toast pieces is excellent, as well. They’re sturdy, well-stitched, etc. And there is a surprising variety of styles available. I love these little “scooters,” because they have built-in shorts, so they help keep my girls modest. Even when they’re climbing trees.

Every time I see my girls in one of these pieces, I find myself thinking, “I really love those shorts on you,” “Wow; that’s a great shirt,” etc.
