We’ve gotten little bits of snow off and on this year, but not enough to scoop up clean snow for snow ice cream. Ironically, now that it’s “spring,” we got enough snow!
Now, making snow cream is not an exact science — the snow itself varies too much for anything to be super-precise — so I didn’t actually measure any of this. But we made snow cream today with “healthy” ingredients, and it came out well, so I thought I’d share our “eyeballed” recipe.
My girls went out and gathered the snow. They pretty well filled a 2-quart bowl. (It was so full to the top that I had to dump it into a larger bowl to mix it.) Then we added 26 drops of vanilla NuNaturals stevia drops and about 1-1/2 cups of raw milk, and mixed it all up. Yum!
Healthy Snow Cream Recipe (Vanilla Snow Ice Cream)

Healthy Snow Cream
Ingredients
- 2 quarts clean fresh snow
- 26 drops NuNaturals vanilla stevia
- 1-1/2 c. raw milk I'm sure pasteurized milk would work just fine, but I'd use full-fat.
Instructions
- Gather snow in a large bowl. Drop the flavored stevia onto the snow. Pour in the milk and stir gently but thoroughly. Eat immediately, as it doesn't keep!
Did you know if you have a dehydrator you can be prepared to make fruit-flavored snow cream, too?! Use strawberry powder (or any other fruit powder) to make strawberry snow ice cream (or whatever other fruit flavor you prefer).
Disclosure: NuNaturals sent me some products a while back to try, in the hopes that I’d share them with you. This is just one of the recipes we’ve made with them. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
We just made some like this at our last snow fall! Thanks for linking up at our Gluten Free Fridays party! I have tweeted and pinned your entry to our Gluten Free Fridays board on Pinterest! 🙂
Hope your week is great!
