Since NuNaturals sent us an assortment of stevia products, we’ve enjoyed using them primarily for flavoring our yogurt. We’ve used them for some other simple applications, too, like a healthier version of Snow Cream. (I’m not much for complicated recipes, and haven’t had a lot of opportunity yet for experimenting with baking recipes, although I look forward to doing that someday, too!)
My husband came up with another easy use for the stevia drops, too, though: flavored milk. (This is particularly surprising, since he doesn’t typically drink milk!) Chocolate tastes good, but it’s a little weird getting used to chocolate milk that’s white. Vanilla milk and peppermint milk are favorites.
The “recipe” is pretty easy:
about 8 oz. milk
about 4 drops flavored stevia
(I’m thinking that vanilla + orange or chocolate + orange would be pretty tasty combinations, too!)
How to Make Peppermint Milk (or Vanilla Milk, or…)

Flavored Milk
Ingredients
- 8 oz. milk approximate
- 4 drops flavored NuNaturals liquid stevia or to taste
Instructions
- Pour the milk into a glass.
- Add the stevia.
- Stir it up.
The kids say that the peppermint version is like drinking peppermint candy!
This is a great way to get the kids to drink more milk.
About the Stevia
I typically have used — and prefer — the NuNaturals brand. However, NuNaturals has apparently reduced their flavor options in favor of expanding into other product lines. SweetLeaf has a variety of flavored stevia drops but I haven’t used them so I can’t vouch for the quality, personally, or whether they have a weird aftertaste.
I imagine you could probably add a little peppermint oil to a bottle of plain stevia drops yourself to make your own, but I haven’t needed to try yet, because our mint stevia hasn’t run out.

This sounds like a nice treat! Thank you 🙂
My husband typically doesn’t even drink milk, but the peppermint stevia was his idea, and he loves it! 🙂
My kids really love vanilla milk. Great way to enjoy milk even more. Pinning! Saw your pin on Janine’s Confessions of a Mommyholic. Have a great day!
What a great idea! I don’t drink milk, but I can imagine that drinking white chocolate milk was a bit strange!
This sounds like an easy and tasty way to flavor milk.
Thank you for sharing on Natural Living Monday!
