Valentine’s Day is a day to stop and remember how much we love the important people in our lives. Although we typically think of our “significant others” as the more obvious objects of our affections during this time of year, why not our children? Tell your little ones how much you love them with I Love You No Matter What: A Prince Chirpio Story, from Tommy Nelson.
In I Love You No Matter What, when the young Little Blue threatens to run away, his daddy tells him a story to teach him about how much he loves him. This story is a unique retelling of the account of the prodigal son. The important message of this story is that we love our children no matter where they are and no matter what they do. The day I wrote this post, the book was especially appropriate. It’s aimed at children ages 4-7 – so my middle daughter. By 10:00, she had already gone downstairs (which she is not allowed to do without explicit permission), stolen something of mine from down there, stolen a cookie she’d just been told she couldn’t have — and that was just the tip of the iceberg. It was just one of those days, obedience-wise. What better time to read my little girl a story about loving our little ones even when they aren’t behaving well?
Disclosure: As a Tommy Mommy, I received my copy of the book at no charge, to facilitate my review. Tommy Nelson is also sponsoring this giveaway. As always, all opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

I forgive my kids when they hurt my feelings and love them no matter what. Let them know I am praying for them and the grandkids, too!
